BharatPe launched BharatPe Agentic AI at Global Fintech Fest 2026. Built using Google Cloud’s Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, the assistant is designed to understand merchant needs and take actions across more than 60 live systems, according to the company.
The product brings AI assistance into the BharatPe for Business app and is intended to make merchant support more contextual by drawing on relevant activity and previous interactions. The distinction from a conventional chatbot is its focus on completing actions, not just returning information.
Agentic systems can reduce the number of steps merchants need to take to resolve issues or manage routine tasks. However, systems that act across business platforms need robust permissions, audit trails, escalation paths and safeguards against incorrect or unauthorised actions.
For fintech providers, the launch shows how AI is becoming an interface for financial and business services. For merchants, practical value will depend on reliability, time saved and the ability to retain human support when needed.
