The platform is designed to help regulated financial institutions reuse consent-based CKYC records and streamline onboarding workflows.

Protean eGov Technologies launched a next-generation KYC Onboarding and Reporting Solution at Global Fintech Fest 2026. The platform is designed to help regulated financial institutions use existing Central KYC Records Registry information in customer onboarding and compliance workflows.

Protean’s announcement said the Central KYC Registry held more than 112 crore records across over 7,000 registered entities. By enabling institutions to access existing consent-based records, the platform aims to reduce the need for customers to submit and verify the same documents repeatedly.

The solution brings together onboarding, reporting, notifications and re-KYC capabilities. For banks, NBFCs and other regulated entities, integrated workflows can reduce manual handling and improve consistency—provided that customer consent, data accuracy and applicable KYC requirements are respected.

Digital identity systems can improve convenience, but they do not remove an institution’s responsibility to conduct the checks required for its products and risk profile.

BFSI NXT perspective: The next step in digital KYC is not only faster onboarding; it is secure, reusable and well-governed identity data.
