The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) said, Thomas Devasia assumed charge as Member (Non-Life) in the IRDAI on 19 September 2022.
Thomas has been with the general insurance industry for over 35 years in roles spanning management of direct and reinsurance underwriting, loss adjustment and broking across the Indian and Middle East insurance markets.
Thomas holds Masters in Statistics and started his career with GIC Re after graduating from New India Assurance Training College in 1986, IRDAI said.
